Why do hunters need scent-free detergent?

What are UV brighteners and why do they matter?
Optical brighteners make whites look whiter by reflecting UV light. Deer vision is most sensitive in that exact spectrum. Brightener-washed camo can appear to glow. BackCountry contains none.
Can I use it on base layers and regular clothes too?
Yes. It's a complete detergent. Many hunters run their whole wardrobe through it during season.
