A laundry rotation for practice, weigh-ins, and meet day

Wrestling schedules can move quickly between practice and competition. A clear system for singlets, practice tops, shorts, and warmups makes it easier to arrive with the kit you actually need.

Give the singlet its own check

Read the manufacturer’s directions for fabric, printed details, and any special finishes. Follow those instructions before washing, soaking, or drying. Keep headgear, footwear, and other equipment out of the clothing load unless their own instructions say otherwise.

Keep practice and meet clothing distinct

Store the clean competition set separately from everyday training clothes. Check sizes, repairs, and missing pieces ahead of the meet. If several athletes share a household, a labeled place for each person’s clothing can help prevent last-minute mix-ups.

Unpack after travel

Separate used clothing from clean spares as soon as practical after the trip. Empty pockets and get compatible items into the laundry routine. Once the kit is dry, return the meet set to its own place so it is ready to check before the next competition.
